#Creativity: It’s a process you learn to develop over time, is a skill anyone can learn.
Being creative isn’t easy, even for artists. Sometimes creativity flows from the heavens, but other times, as we all know, it’s like drawing water from a stone.
Creativity is made up of four skills – the ability to ask questions (clarify), the ability to come up with ideas (ideate), the ability to string ideas together to form a solution (develop), and the ability to take the solution into action (implement).
Everyone has potential to be creative; it just needs to be harnessed, nurtured and strengthened. One way to do is to foster new neural connections by learning new hobbies and practising challenges.
The key to creative thinking is really finding the space & time to think :)
Be positive, daydream, collaborate, Iterate (be flexible, and adapt the solution to the problem, so to speak, rather than force a solution.), Put your thinking hat on: bring up divergent (finding many answers to a problem, and techniques such as brainstorming and mind mapping) and convergent (finding the single best answer to a problem).
What means to live a creative life?
According to Maya Benattar, a music therapist and psychotherapist, a creative life is “being connected to a sense of play, spontaneity and permission. It helps us connect to our true emotions, to who we really are, beneath our lengthy to-do lists."
Living a creative lifestyle means also 'feeling alive', Having more interest in what’s happening in the world, and more engaged and connected to other people.
To us creative life means mainly to have an open mind :). But, how you define a creative life is really up to you. ;)
Above you’ll find12 ideas from connecting to your inner child to seeing the world anew to playing with specific projects.
These 12 steps are a brief guide to shaping your #creativelifestyle, your own rituals! Just remember, what matters more is the everyday attitude of creativity, of seeing the world as an interesting, awe-inspiring place, worthy of being explored.
Feel free to add on the comments as many more suggestions from your experience on how/what you do to be creative!
Looking forward to your ideas!
